my problems have use tabs i need cut out sguare piece at plywood, i drar lines and then toolpath make add tabs, its ok, but if i want cut first left side this sguare one line, left, then move clamps new place left has cutting can cut right side, ok, problem have i start cut left side line, cutting nice but when bit come back to start point destroy all tabs, cut ok and elevate tabs point ok but then bit go back start point not elevate bit at tabs position ad destroy all tabs. why aspire not generate toolpath right, i mean why not move cutting side line ad then elevate bit up to sheet top and then go back start point, why move back same level then cutting, and move back destroy all tabs sametime not elevate bit at tabs position when move back to start point. or many job same why not elevate bit and then go back start point. alltime after cutting go back start point and bit stay same level what cutting line.and move back have G1 speed, not fast move G0. i not understand what i make wrong i draw picture-make toolpath. all job same problem no move bit up then go back start point after cutting, if cut point start X0.0Y0.0Z-3 etc. and go point X300Y0.0 has cut line ok, BUT go back to 0.0 point same level Z-3 why ? need go up after cutting elevate bit Z0.0 and then go back X0.0

Why is it necessary to level the unit to the floor? it seems to me the gantry moves along the metal frame , if the entire unit was set to a 20 deg angle the gantry is still level with the unit itself and it wouldn’t matter cause the gantry doesn’t ride along the floor

I appreciate this as we will be moving towards cutting items that use more than 1 tool. I noticed, though, that when you performed the tool change the machine moved on the Y axis. Since Mach4 didn't move the machine it would not know there was a change. I assume if you notice that happening and you're cutting a detailed profile you would need to rehome the machine?

Clearly the program does NOT use the space optimally, especially with the production layout. It should start by turning around half the triangles, like you maybe intuitively did in your manual example... it would save a lot of material.

This dust shoe really sucks! The chambered design and rapidly swappable bristle rings of different sizes are especially appreciated! It works better for rotary operations than my previous solution.

what style of brush is that? It seems better than the style I'm using right now on my dustshoe

You could do that using the CNC. Where is the TOOL CHANGER?!

Hey can you do a vid like the ones that Sammy and Cory use to do on setting up a spoil board with the Avid Sheetcam and Mach 4. I have an old burntables machine that has an Avid control box as a plasma table and I'm getting ready to purchase the Avid spindle. The Avid tweeked software is very specific on what you can and cannot do. Any help would be appreciated.

No intention to offend 🙏. It looks like Avid cnc doesn't answer questions here ☹. I'm a prospect buyer with diligent business plan for selecting my first cnc router (I know cnc milling machines very well, but cnc routers are a new whole business for me). I finally nailed down to a few companies (Laguna tools, Phantom, Avid cnc, i2r, Penguin cnc) and for the last two weeks can' make my mind due to very poor information that are available on their web site, and emailing back and forth takes time and leads to more questions, I came to this channel to find answers for their machines assembly , but, based on Avid cnc non answering questions, it looks like I was wrong 😭 . Just in case somebody of Avid CNC review this comment here is my question. Why when selecting the machine options, etc., and we are offered a video instruction link for assembly, WHY WE DO HAVE TO ANSWER ALL THOSE QUESTIONS AGAIN? (ref: www.avidcnc.com/support/instructions/pro/?mr=21.1&mw=60&ml=144&gw=&gh=&lk=avid&mtr=&ct=routing&rt= ) 😫. It should be that after selecting your machine options you can see a video for that machine, WITHOUT NEW QUESTIONS! Very unprofessional!!!!!!!!!!!! If they do this before you purchase, WHAT WILL HAPPEN AFTER SALES SUPPORT? 😱 If they share a video instruction, at least they should be able to answer the questions generated here.😥
